The Conventions are on the 3rd Sunday of
February, May, August, November
Sunday's Conventions - start at 9:30 AM - Until the last one plays
Saturday Jam - the night before - 7:00 PM to about 11:00PM

We are in a transition in the scheduling for all players

Russ Hicks

Russ Hicks of Nashville TN
Music was and always has been a huge part of Russ hicks life. Playing trumpet in high school band, he purchased a Gibson BR9 lap steel and an amplifier. A few years later he purchased a Gibson Electraharp only he did not spend much time with it because of playing lead guitar in his high school rock & roll band. The band later signed to Decca Records and moved to Las Vegas where the recording were done and various gigs in Vegas, mostly at the Showboat Hotel. It was here Russ met Speedy West who at that time was working with Billy Strange. Russ has since played with many well know groups in various styles of music and was the staff steel player on the popular TV series "Hee-Haw" Show
